Impulse
These few days hasn't exactly been e smoothest given wad had happened. Although I read in e papers that there was going to be islandwide heavy showers ytd, i still felt e impulse to go out. haha... mum was trying to make me stay at home cos my bro also heading out. Hmm... usually rainy days puts me off - I stay at home cos of e hassle. But not ytd.
Anyway... went to Esplanade first. Roof Terrace. It was cloudy but there there was still quite a bit of sun. Windy up there but i was sweating within a few minutes. Somehow i liked e view from up there, and felt more relaxed after a while. I think there was some dragon boat practice, cos there's this incessant beating of a drum tt's rather annoying. then there were e usual flock of tourists at e Merlion. And of cos, since I'm at e roof terrace, the usual lovey-dovey couples.
Was quite reluctant to leave e roof terrace but then e heat was getting unbearable, so walked towards e Merlion... hmm, in short took a long walk by myself... From Esplanade to Raffles Place then back. More relaxed? I think so, but also saw more nice stuff @ Raffles City, :P KIV first, hehe... enough stuff bought...
So... today. hai, sian... gotta do more tut. FM & Acctg -- yucks

Starting 'anew'
Couldn't bear to delete my Blogger... but had no choice. had liked the Blogskin a lot, but... well... Shuyi suggested i start my blog here cos its nice... Hmm, I still havent figure things out yet. So I shall use some time to find my way around... the other features like pictures, frens etc I think I'm not going to care first. Cos afterall wad i nd is a blog, a space to voice out my thoughts, grumble abt a bad day or some unpleasant experience... :P
Yesterday went for translation lecture & tut. Dear Pris is in e same class as me. How long has it been gal? Since we had lessons tog? haha... yes, as u had said, the 'older' friends are always e best. ( New friends out there, dont get mistaken... U're great too! ) can say anything n do anything to disturb u de, haha... one day we're going to haf lunch tog gal, last sem we din had e chance to! The lecture is quite fun, and e lecturer is rather nice cos he made it clear he wont be too demanding as afterall for most of us, its an elective. Gee... starting to like this lesson. And he showed us some pretty bad translation e.g that earned quite a few laughs...
1. Sign in a Japanese hotel: Please take advantage of the chambermaids.
(Please feel free to use the services rendered by our chambermaids)
2. An ad in a foreign newspaper: Dog for sale. Eats anything. Fond of children.
3. Thai laundry service: Drop your pants here for best results.
4. Ad for laundry services: We do not tear your clothes with our machines. We do it carefully by hands.
5. Zurich hotel: As it is inappropriate for the chambermaids to carry out some activities between opposite genders in the hotel room, please use the lobby for these activities.
(Actually I'm not really sure abt wad kind of activities it meant, but it is 'innocent' but the way it was translated... It does make some pp think otherwise, the guys in e class were laughing real hard after they read this...)
Still got some more but i really cant recall that much. It is rather interesting cos as we learn more abt translation. the lecturer also taught us more abt e Western & Chinese culture evident in e languages... :)

After so long... finally managed to churn out a new blog. I had tried e new Blogger account, but then e HTML code i got from Blogskins cannot be used there to change into new skins. So there was a lot of procrastination.
Hai... the comparison of GPAs had made us, or me at least, feel e pressure. How did those crazy pp get GPA score of 5!!! I think anything above 4 is gd alrdy... my seminar class got quite a few damn zai pp. I think my FM now is seriously CMI. next wk FM got quiz... so far i only did one tut. Cos either had other more impt stuff - like acctg quiz - or i tried le but din understand. From this wk onwards must really wk damn hard on FM!!! starting from e quiz onwards... this sem must do well cos last sem my GPA was quite low... haf to jia you, jia you so that overall will be better... then one step closer to Tourism>? Hai...
