hmm. another relatively busy weekend? My relatives are coming over in the evening again. after each of them close their shops, finish work, etc. so they're coming over for dinner & ban luck again. but well, its lesser than our 初二 crowd 'cos some are working, some have other house visiting to do.

finally the FYP data collection is like finished. But I only managed to get 50 responses, and there were 5 incomplete response ): luckily Minshan got enough spill over and we still met the target of 200-250 responses. Thanks alot to everyone who helped in my survey in one way or another. Your time taken to complete, forward or pass on the survey is much appreciated by me and my teammates!

went back to sch for the first time since the new yr break. CS100 is fun... although sometimes I feel bored till I almost wanna slp... Look what my coursemates are up to during the break, so cheeky!

end of CNY holidays... back to school! ytd I *cough* ponned my class. wahaha. its elective and I seriously don't feel like going. Traded that time for an afternn of badminton with Jer and his family. His dad and his two younger sis. That's like the longest game of badminton I ever had. And it was the first time I fell while playing badminton. on my butt!

I'm leading a much healthier lifestyle now. and in view of all the recent badminton games, I decided I shall get a proper racket instead of borrowing. heh. been checking out some prices lately and I think I shld be able to get a decent racket below 40 bucks :D

so... cheers to healthier lifestyle - more captain's ball, badminton and jogging!

Salesgirl gave Toddler Y a cup of cold water thinking that all kids like cold drinks. However, being new, she does not know that Todder Y was brought up to drink warm water ONLY.

And the Toddler Y is these stories are none other than - yours truly. OMG. I didn't know I was such a suaner since young. And you know wad, after hearing my xiao yee talk abt my childhood days spent at her shop, the first two stories were only told to me today.

decided to change another blogskin cos the previous font is difficult to read. this is a bit kiddish eh? but I like the cuteness of it all. haha!

anyway, so far new year has been gd. Seen some relatives and the korean twins whom I haven't seen for so long. my 'personal fave' is the younger sis, the one who's seen lying on the sofa. she is a bit lazier but her temperament is milder and she is more generous and easier to get along with. how many 6 yr old kid have you seen sharing her beloved gummies down to the last one? she ate a few then gave to the rest to me, my brother and my nieces one by one, and even to her sis. and i just gave her coloured pens and blank paper and she just quietly sit there and drew by herself. so cute!~



heh. the sister is harder to get along with. throw tantrums and ytd she whole day 脸黑黑 cos she was sick and she wanted a lot of attention.

I know, kids are like that. haha. but shuhui prefers lively kids who are alot of fun and very easy to get along with.

they decided that on 初三 my aunt will bring the twins out with my mum and another aunt... but too bad this is the only time I have with Jer so I have to give it a pass.

I still rem the other day while walking down the aisles and aisles of food at NTUC Xtra... saw sth that reminded me of dua dio (meaning big uncle in teochew). His fave prunes! kept pestering my mum to buy it so that can pass to my aunt the next time she go to the temple and bai bai. Still rem he never fail to have a can of those prunes on the table in his shop. And he'll nibble them while watching tv and offer them to me... somehow seeing the prunes remind me of him :D

whoo. today was a busy day. badminton in the morning with Jer and his dad. then a quick lunch at my fave kuey chap stall nearby b4 meeting the nan hua pp for basketball. by the time i reach there, combined with the glaring sun, I wasn't really participating le. Just helping to draw attention away from weizhe and shuyi. hahaha, and my soles gave way again! this time the back one. I shall give it one more chance b4 I buy new shoes!

back hm the priority was to pack. throw. springclean!

springcleaning is tedious but still one cos I'll unearth alot of things that I may nt have seen for quite some time. Like how I 'found' money. heh heh. its actually a $20 note that I exchanged last time for kp's sake. the 20 bucks plastic note. this time I kept it properly in an envelope.

another thing that came up evoked a lot of memories and brought a smile to my face. it was the diary that I decided to pick up again after I was very lost as to what to do in June last year. shall bring it for Jer to read on Wed. haha. shall have a gd new year and then spend some quality time with him (:

shall keep myself less grouchy with happy thoughts. many of which are with jer (: lol. we made each laugh damn alot ytd with the usual crapping and some 小动作.

I want CNY to come quick!

aside from the fact that I'm very bothered by my HR assignment... I'm also busy with finishing up the work for my Prof. Yes, I know you've been hearing this from me since eons weeks ago. But I'm really finishing them up now. Final stack to go. Which means end of my money-making period, and I haven't heard from my applications for temp jobs. Gosh. CNY comes at the right time to 'replenish & revive' my bank account (:

I rem when sch was about to start, I was talking with Minshan on MSN as usual... and I was telling her... I shld start reducing my meet-ups with Jer soon 'cos I'll be starting sch and so is he later. My theory was this will let me get used to us getting busy with our own commitments and I won't feel the 'loss'. And minshan said she 看死我 can't do it.

And these few wks I think I proved her right. 'cos I told myself his sch is starting so I want to treasure the time spent tog. We went jogging, shopping, lazing around his hse slacking, packing, watching tv, etc...

If baby is reading this now, I'm quite sure there's two words ringing in his mind now.

Silly girl.

hahaha. From now on, Fridays will be spent long hrs in sch then back to home...

having no classes on Mon-Wed is not really a gd thing. For starters, my mum's complaining that she paid sch fees for me to slack at home. 'How come only two days of sch?!' I had to remind her this is tertiary education and it means I don't have to be in sch from mon-fri. Anyway, when projects kick in I won't get to enjoy these 3 off days much.

Second, I am NOT slacking my time away at home. Yes, I do get hooked to playing bejeweled. But in between my games I still find time for my research work. I'm finally finishing... I nd to quickly finish it then work on spring cleaning my room.

A cockroach was spotted in my room that day and it sparked off more reminders from mum that my room is fast resembling a pig sty. Thank you for the 'compliment'.

Excuse me, its just that I have my work piled up in my room, and I need to divide them into stacks to sort things out. So actually, my room is piled with 'money'. No papers, no work, no money.

Sooo... this week shld be quite packed. Juggling sch, family time and FYP. I already blasted out all the emails and now I can only wait. The rest is up to CNY to help me build up my quota of 80 surveys.

Shopping wise... I am trying to get another top for new year. Nth much that I really want online... I think it wont reach b4 CNY too anyway. Woots... looking fwd to family gatherings, ang baos, good food and time with Jer (:

I would consider this week to my my offical first wk of sch since last week was only my art elective. everything was still in the 'introductory' stage.

god. my core module can kill me. I think the prof treat us like little kids. Making us do redundant tasks and discussions that befits a first-day-of-sch lesson plan for primary or secondary sch kids. everything could have been done under 2 hrs but she used 4 hrs for it.

and what the hell, we still nd to write out in black and white the team's ground rules and objectives and what-nots. do you think this can prevent loafing? slacking? it just makes me wanna laugh lo. we're in the FINAL SEM already, for goodness sake. grr. I anticipate more frustration on Fri mornings...

something has been bothering me since Nov, the exam period. as we all know, during exam period one is vulnerable to signs of stress/fatigue from studying. signs like pimples. gosh, I hate it.

and I rem during that period I suddenly had this gigantic pimple on my left cheek. so I did my usual regime, apply my pimple cream and faithfully put on concealer to hide the ugly thing b4 I go out. I know pimples don't heal that fast when they are of this size...

but now, its been 2 mths... the bump is gone. but I still see the reddish hint of sth like a blemish on my left cheek. which is totally irritating. cos it means I STILL have to put on concealer. and its bothering me that its taking so long to heal.

what does it mean??? my metabolism rate is getting bad? I need to have earlier nites?

argh. I want that spot gone b4 CNY ):

woke up early this morning to meet Jer for breakfast. heh, I've been pestering him to bring me to eat prata. that stall at the west coast market only opens in the morning, so he got to bring me there after he sends his sis to sch. So yep, woke up at 6am! hahaha.

the prata was just ok, but the curry was quite nice. its just like what Jer said, the curry makes the prata gd. but I had stomachache after eating it, I wonder if its the prata or what?

nevertheless, I went home myself cos Jer still has to go to work. short meet-up. but gd enough... I miss those intern days where he'll come fetch me to work and we have breakfast on the way to the office. and then we also have dinner tog after work. LOL.

someone told me, its uber sweet to meet someone you love in the morning for breakfast.

yeah, it is (: even if it was for a while. it still is.

like i said weekend was super busy for me. didn't really spend much time at home. came back earlier than expected tonight, so I managed to see my bro b4 he went off to book in.

had lots of fun with the nan hua gang ytd. I havent been in an arcade so long before. and at such an early time! I guess that's one gd thing of being there when it just opened. Nobody to fight for the games with you (:







surprised kor with a cake. I hope he was really surprised. haha. totally lost my voice that day. while waiting for our table at Thai Express we did lots of silly stuff. we actually sang along with the CNY songs being played. and there was this song... 大地回春... this part which got a very loud 'HEY!'. we all just did that in the middle of the shopping center, with the crowd and the dining people... *gasp

sometimes I dunno where I stand. maybe being nice means you can be forgotten sometimes. was I too nice?

finally got to do some shopping with minshan & joyce after our FYP meeting. at where else but JP. hahaha. at first we were trying to curb our 'shopping itch' and didn't buy anything. but in the end we all bought sth each :X and guess what, I finally tried Ding Tai Feng.



and ya, minshan reminded me that I've been going on and on about getting a pair of white shorts and black bag for sch. and I still HAVE NOT gotten them yet ): I need more munney!

no more escape or denial. school starts today for me. boo! No more nua-ing with Jer without a care for homework or projects.

but still... its my last 4 mths to be a student. So I believe when sch starts and everything from assignments to projects kick in, I will still 'savour' the feeling of being a student.

So agenda for today is elective at 1pm and FYP meeting with our prof at 4.30pm. I reckon I nd to do some errands in sch. Topping up my cashcard, printing notes and selling my TB! woots~

this weekend is packed to the brim! I predict loads & loads of pictures upload, haha. Meeting the nan hua peeps on Sat and Jer's family on Sun for his sister's 21st... so how do I tune to back-to-sch mood this way?

Just when I thought its the end of holidays and the start of another grueling semester... Jer never fails to make me happy (: he wanted to jog and suggested I go tog with him. Motivate each other!

so when I got into the car... he asked me to open the front compartment. Guess what was inside? Chocolate! Haha... the silly boy put it there to kp it cool. No wonder the CDs were out on the passenger seat, I wondered what's wrong.

it was a small gesture but I was just... very touched and happy. hehe.

Oh, and after not running for sooooooo... long. My stamina is super cui already. Plus my early lunch and no tea in between... We ran from his house to mine... At JJC that junction, I ran till I felt giddy and nauseous. Simply had to stop. Gosh. I half thought I might just faint there.

Haha... so yep, Jer was like asking me to walk further, a bit more etc. And we tried some of those machines at a park beside the canal at 500+ there. Like weight machines or sth?

thanks baby... I think without your encouragement I might have just stopped there =P I'll want to build up my stamina! woots!

finally finished the bulk of the packing for Jer's wardrobe. the books, papers, yearbks etc. it was fun, like I said, to go through his stuff with him. Today was the clothes, and wa... I'm proud of myself. haha! Now his clothes are neatly stacked against the wardrobe. and we have it all sorted out nicely into different types. you should have seen the mountain of clothes we had reduced it from. keke.

Jer's dad cooked Japanese cuisine for dinner today (:





and yep, needless to say, it was great!

spent a whole day at Jer's place. the plan was to help him pack his room... which is known to be quite a tedious chore. lol. all in all, it was fun doing it together, looking through his old stuff, reminicising his childhood days with him. His autograph book and Nan Hua yearbook brought us some laughter... LOL. it was fun seeing how we all wrote when we were kids.

we worked quite hard through the whole afternn, till we didn't even notice the time. I only knew it was 6.30pm when my stomach was growling. Jer fried me an egg to go with the potato salad in the fridge. and we took a break just lazing on the sofa and sipping choya mixed with soda water.

which reminds me that my own room is not packed yet. Mine will be a much easier chore, wahaha... but I have one problem on hand now.

my work for the prof? I still have a big box left :X

Played around with some of the effects... of cos, it doesn't have brushes like Photoshop has, not as much effects. I still dunno how to do a collage there though. they say life is full of surprises. you never know what to expect. how true! so many last min changes and plans that right up to 10+ I still received sms from thong ler, asking if I'm counting down... haha!

at first I thought I would be home, alone for the new yr. then came the family dinner. simple but nice. catching up, esp with my bro... I know his training is not easy, so I just played my part and listened. its the least I can do (:

but 'cos of the last min dinner with my family, I gave up my plans to eat with Gladys and Wylin. I'm so sorry ladies, you gals even offered to send me home. Meet you gals another day ya?

after dinner, what was supposed to be a quiet night turned out to be so fun. Met Jer and his friends at Alley Bar for countdown. He has a friend working there... I quite like the ambience. nice cosy corner to ourselves, and his friends were damn funny... LOL! just one picture in my cam, cos his friend had this damn zai SLR camera, photos are all there, they should be uploaded in FB soon.

drank, ate fries, played games, hugged and wished each other happy new yr... oh, I especially love pretending to be drunk and calling Jer 'David' and wishing him 'merry christmas'! hahaha



oh ya, pong ah... I drink chivas outside for the first time tonight then I realise how strong were the chivas u mixed that x'mas la! it made the chivas tonight taste diluted. so you can imagine... why did I puke that nite, haha!
